India won the cricket world cup 2011 and this is second time India titled as World Champions after 28 years. And this was probably last world cup of Sachin Tendulkar and his dream came true. The difference between India and other team in this world cup is Yuvraj Saingh. He played brilliantly and he is a match winner.

Paging in Sybase

There is no specified query for pagination in sybase. But we can create our own method for pagination in sybase database.The following is an example for that..
————————
CREATE PROCEDURE sp_get_posts
@perpage    smallint,
@pagenumber smallint
WITH RECOMPILE
AS
begin
– if we’re on the first page no need to go through the @postid push
IF @pagenumber = 1
Begin

SET ROWCOUNT @perpage

SELECT *
FROM  entry_posts
ORDER BY post_id ASC

RETURN
END

– otherwise

DECLARE @min_id smallint,
@position   INT

SELECT @position = @perpage * ( @pagenumber – 1 ) + 1

SET ROWCOUNT @position        –setting the starting position

– What happens here is it will select through the rows
– and order the whole set.
– It will stop push postid into @min_postid until it hits
– ROWCOUNT and does this out of the ordered set (a work
– table).

SELECT @min_id = post_id
FROM  entry_posts
ORDER BY post_id ASC

SET ROWCOUNT @perpage    –setting the ending position

SELECT *
FROM  entry_posts
WHERE post_id >= @min_id

ORDER BY post_id ASC

end

Sachin – 50th Test Century

Sachin breaking all the records and continues to score centuries…

Australia v England, 2nd Test, Adelaide – Ashes 2010

England won the second Ashes Test by an innings and 71 runs to take a 1-0 lead in the five-match series.

This is very interesting match as like any other Ashes test match. Kevin Pietersen scored a match winning double century and first century since 2009. Kevin Pietersen recorded his personnel Test best of 227 beating his previous best of 226 against WI in 2007.
England continues their brilliant performance in recent times.

Graeme Swann completed a five-wicket haul and James Anderson took two wickets in two balls as the tourists’ took their first test victory on Australian soil since the 2002-03 tour.

Ricky Ponting isn’t sure whether the situation he’ll face over the next three Tests is the biggest challenge of his career.

And it all happened under the most perfect, sunny skies. If Australia were hoping for storms, their prayers were not answered. In truth, they never recovered from the hurricane that struck on the first morning when they were 3 for 2. And now, England need only one more victory to retain the Ashes.
